About LoftBuddy

I have always been the sort of person who likes fixing things. Growing up, I was the one who wanted to get involved whenever something needed doing around the house, and that interest never really left me. A few years back, I spent time actually working in construction, learning how sites run, how a proper job gets planned, and what separates a company that does things right from one that cuts corners.

Somewhere along the way, my interests shifted towards the digital side of things. I got properly into building websites, understanding how people search for services online, and how to connect the right business with the right customer. These days, that is what I do full time, running a digital agency and helping local businesses get found by the people who need them.

LoftBuddy is where both sides of my background come together. I still understand loft conversions from the inside, the planning permission questions, the party wall process, the difference between a velux conversion and a full mansard rebuild, and I know what a genuinely good loft conversion company looks like versus one that just talks a good game. What I do not do any more is pick up the tools myself. Instead, I use what I know about the trade, combined with what I know about digital, to help homeowners in North West London find loft conversion specialists they can actually trust.

That is really the whole idea behind LoftBuddy. Rather than becoming another building company, I wanted to build something that puts my construction background to proper use, by making sure the companies we put you in touch with are ones we would be genuinely happy to recommend, not just the ones with the biggest advertising budget.
